My LOLLY post has been brought forward due to HOT WEATHER! :) Even I have taken off my cardigan and am wearing a dress...Make your own healthy, thirst-quenching fruity lollies and take the heat out of the day!
Yoghurt Lollies
You need:-
Any fruit will do, but peaches, banana, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries all work well. Strawberries are our favourites!
Tip the yoghurt into a bowl. Mix the honey with the yoghurt. Add the fruit to lolly mould, alternating spoons of fruit with spoons of yoghurt. Tap the moulds to get rid of trapped air bubbles and freeze for 4 hours or leave overnight.
We love natural yoghurt, but Greek yoghurt works, too. Vanilla is lovely and creamy, but try using fruit flavoured yoghurts and team with different fruit.
Fruit Squash Lollies
Lollies are easily made with either fruit squash or fruit juice. My kids love fresh juice as it delivers more flavour. Our favourites are orange juice and tropical juice lollies!
Banana Ice-cream
So easy and only ONE ingredient!
Freeze ripe bananas in slices and turn them into ice-cream by churning them in an ice-cream maker. I don't have one, but the food processor can blitz them just as well.
Serve with fresh fruit and chocolate sauce ... or vanilla ice-cream and strawberries... Yum!
What is your favourite topping?
