This Week on and off the Plot!

It has been a busy week on the plot, with fruit and veg growing fast. The sweetcorn, pumpkins, courgette, peas and beans are all flowering madly and the crops are looking good.

Blauwschokker Peas with their beautiful pods and flowers...

Nets are off, but the rabbit fencing remains in place!

Green Woodpeckers have been making an appearance, eating the ants.
Great camouflage!

A buzzard flew across the garden yesterday, dive-bombed by a crow... It is not a rare sight.  See this video of a 5 crows chasing a buzzard!

My youngest daughter survived Transition Day.  Her older sister hated it, so this is a tricky act to follow. However, she enjoys school now and won the long-jump competition, this week.  I don't call her Lily Long-Legs for nothing!  I'm happy that she's putting those legs to good use...

We successfully appealed my Mum-in-Law's parking fine.  She spent a long time shopping, which I thought was quite an achievement when you're 83! Grandad was released from hospital and this was the best ending to an eventful week. He was delighted and so are we.

We  celebrated with tea and home-made scones...

Join me next week for more family fun.  Thank you for dropping by  ;)
