So far, period pants and cloth pads are the favourites of my teenage reviewer. Disposable pads and tampons are convenient, but (surprisingly) are not her preferred choice. The pants are snug and if you feel brave, you can go without protection on light days...At £35.00 they are not cheap, but they are worth it for comfort and peace of mind.
My daughter loves the Precious Stars pads with double poppers for a narrow fit. They are soft and comfortable and the fabric is amazing! They also have a super-soft Budget Range.
This science fabric received a 'Wow!' from my daughter. 1 of a 5-piece set by Cloth Mama
Below are the pads we received in our Earthwise Girls First Period Pack. See our earlier Post to find out more...They offered a selection of different pads: 2 panty liners for light flow and 2 medium flow pads, designed for girls, rather than women. Their box also contained eco-friendly disposable pads and tampons and sweets! Sweets are a nice touch and they disappeared very quickly.
Pattern-side up...and pattern-side down (see below) as worn, with the cotton or fleece absorbent side uppermost. Press-studs keep them in place.
When used, they fold-up and you pop them into a wet bag...Surprisingly, my teenager has embraced this, without a single moan! Comfort wins the day...
Next stop, period tracker apps.
Help your teen keep one step ahead :)
