Dad's Shirt: Make Do and Mend, Part 2

This old work-shirt, transforms easily into a smart over-shirt,
long enough to wear over leggings or tie at the waist.
Using another short-sleeved shirt as a guide, I chopped off the sleeves...
sewed the seams...
sewed down the pleats at the back (to just above the armpit) for a slimmer fit,
and reduced the width of the shirt each side, using an overlocker.
I chopped off the collar!
You can unpick the seam and oversew the top, if you wish
I kept the classic lines of the shirt, but feel free to embellish yours with ribbons, buttons, diamante or lace...whatever appeals to you.

 C'est chic, n'est pas?
